The Station gearing up for their 8th straight Summer Camp appearance Memorial Day weekend! Official schedule TBA.

Jam and Jay Goldberg Events and Entertainment is proud to announce the Summer Camp 2010 Music Festival. This will be the 10th Annual Summer Camp Music Festival and will feature over 55 bands on 5 stages over the course of 3 days. Taking place at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL (just 20 miles north of Peoria), the festival also features a kid’s camp, an extensive representation of non-profit organizations, on-site camping, lots of unique arts & craft artisans, a variety of good food and plenty of ice cold beer. Howard Freitag Joins The Station

We'd like to introduce The Station's newest member Howard Freitag on lead guitar, guitar synth, and vocals. Howard is bringing nearly 20 years of professional experience to the table and his addition is having a great effect on The Station's music. Howard's past credits include Soul Pudding (with Jeff Cunningham), Senses, The Roger Kimball Band, Triple Lindy, and more. Rehearsals are going well and we can't wait for you to see the new lineup.

The debut will take place this Friday night (2/26) at the Stagger Inn in Edwardsville, IL, followed by The Canopy Club in Urbana, IL (with Cornmeal) Thursday March 4th, and Bar None in Springfield, IL Saturday March 6th. We hope you can make it out to witness the start of the next chapter in our career, we can't tell you how excited we are.

Return of the !Three Amigos!

While we are in the midst of narrowing down our choices for The Station's next guitar player, Dave, Jeff, and Dave will be once again performing as the Three Amigos. The amigos first formed in 2004, playing mostly covers with a healthy dose of original music that included the later-Station-staples Rural Route One and Midwest Moonshine. We're very excited to be turning back the clock a little bit with a healthy dose of Station-approved cover songs and a return to Three Amigos' original repertoire. We look forward to funk-rocking you while we continue our search for The Station's next member!

The Further Evolution of The Station

Sometimes in life we find that change is the only thing we can count on. As we all continue to evolve, The Station is no exception to the rule. After nearly 6 years of performing live together, Kevin Lemen and The Station are parting ways. Kevin's last shows as a member of The Station will be 11/27 in Springfield, IL, 11/28 in Edwardsville, IL, and 12/12 in St. Louis, MO. Please come out and join us in wishing Kevin the best of luck in wherever life takes him. Rest assured that The Station is hard at work writing, rehearsing, and eagerly working on the music that we feel will come together into our most solid and focused album yet. CENTRAL ILLINOIS MUSIC BEST ORIGINAL BAND The Station The Station, repeating as Best Original Band (also, in 2008, the Band Most Likely to Hit it Big) celebrates 10 years as a band in 2009. Just a few months ago founding bassist Josh Kerska left the group and local bass virtuoso Jeff Cunningham joined, while the band continues on as one of the hottest progressive rock acts in the Midwest. The jamming quartet of Cunningham, Dave Littrell, Dave Carter and Kevin Lemen, obviously known for original music, presents an annual Halloween show focusing on a specific music group or event. This year see the Best Original Band for 2009 perform a night of Sly and the Family Stone tunes at City Nights Theater on Oct. 31. Be sure to check out another Station show to hear the catchy and intricate selfpenned tunes that won them this category for two years straight.Runner-ups Micah Walk Band and NIL8 show the incredible range of talent our readers had to choose from within the Springfield original music scene. New Bassist and Show Announcement

Hello everyone, we are pleased to announce that Springfield/Chatham native Jeff Cunningham has officially joined The Station on bass guitar. You may remember Jeff from the Three Amigos, featuring Jeff and Dave and Dave from The Station, a musical trio that spawned The Station staples Rural Route One and Midwest Moonshine. Jeff, a graduate of the University of North Texas, has been an awe-inspiring fixture of the Central Illinois music scene performing in Soul Pudding, Lowphatt (with NIL8’s Bruce Williams and 56 Hope Rd’s Greg Fundis), Senses, Los Injectors, The Three Amigos, and many more over the years on the 4, 5, and 6 string bass as well as the fretless and upright bass. Jeff will bring years of experience and jaw-dropping virtuosity to the stage. We’re very excited as we look towards the future, which includes beginning work on our fifth album this fall, and we can’t wait for you to hear what we have in store!
